About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Garritano, I'm 28 years old, and I currently reside in Westchester County, New York.

To sum myself up in a nutshell, I love to be spontaneous (when the opportunity arises, or else I'm a super big planner), I try to seek adventure whenever possible, and I hope to travel the world (and write about it), and I never go a day without smiling.

But here's who I am on the writing side of things:

From when I was a little girl, I scribbled down anything having to do with words into tons of notebooks; creating stories, jotting down my thoughts, and doodling quotes. I loved to express myself through writing and began writing poetry, which only led to so much more.

​

Knowing this was my only real passion, I graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in journalism and a double minor in marketing and creative writing, looking to find an outlet in the real world where I could express myself. 

 

Seeking chances to do so as well as finding a way to make others feel joy through my writing, I discovered freelancing would be the best outlet for me.

​

Although I still enjoy writing poetry, freelancing allows me to make others happy with my words. I'm able to reach all different audiences, and I hope to continue bringing that positive energy to those around me.
